About

Hi, I’m Shelley Webb, a registered nurse, caregiver for my father and founder of The Eldercare Support Group.  Taking Care of the Folks is the blog for this support group.  It is also the name of our weekly newsletter.

Four years ago, my father, who has heart failure, dementia, difficulty walking, hearing, AND seeing came to live with me and my life has not been the same since.  His conditions have progressed to the point where he now needs 24 hour supervision. If you are tired, depressed, feeling isolated, guilt-ridden, frustrated, trapped, broke (or a combination of any of these), then you have come to the right place! I want to help bring your life back on track.

My goal is to offer encouragement, empathy, education and effective strategies to enrich your life as a care giver.  You and I are on the same journey and together we can find the joy in caring for our loved one.

When you sign up for my free bi-weekly newsletter “Taking Care of The Folks”, you will also receive my report “12 Things You MUST Do to Stay Healthy and Sane While Caring For Your Aging Parent”.

I do not take your trust in me for granted.  I will do my best to provide you with information that will benefit you as a caregiver and uplift your spirits with inspiration.  I will even throw in a quick and easy recipe each week !

I hope that you’ll join me in this caregiving journey so that we can all benefit from each other’s experiences and wisdom.
